Appalachian Food Services makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. Every effort is made to instruct our food production staff on the severity of food allergies. There is always a risk of contamination. There is also a possibility that manufacturers of the commercial foods we use could change the formulation or substitute at any time, without notice. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. We cannot guarantee the absence of cross contamination. All foods in the dining hall are prepared in an institutional cooking environment that could involve accidental contamination with the foods you may be allergic to. To that end, always carry your Epipen.
Gluten Free at Appalachian
Eating a gluten free diet can be challenging. To assist students with gluten allergies, we have developed lists of gluten free items available on campus. Please visit Gluten Free Resources for additional information.
